Quinta da Vegia, Solo Franco 2020

Quinta da Vegia has been a family run winery for a little over four generations. Located in the Dao region of central Portugal, they champion and specialise in indigenous Portuguese grape varieties, and only farm using organic methods. Solo Franco 2020 is made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tempranillo and Trincadeira. A floral-spicy nose of bramble, blackcurrant, violet, black pepper and cinnamon moves to a medium-bodied palate with balanced tannins and good acidity. The fruity flavours of the nose carry onto the palate which makes for a supremely food-friendly, crowd-pleasing red. A great pair with your next BBQ.
